Who we are

C411 Country–Natural Capital for Generations is a landscape-scale initiative working across the Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges to protect, restore and steward nature for the long term.

We bring together community, business and social groups, private landholders, public lands, government agencies, and conservation organisations, to care for 128000 hectares of highly fragmented and ecologically significant peri-urban landscape which includes farms, forests, waterways and towns.

Our focus is not short-term projects, but intergenerational stewardship: improving the condition of land and ecosystems over time, and building the structures, relationships and governance needed to sustain that care for decades to come.

C411 Country is convened by the Nangana Landcare Network, drawing on more than 30 years of local conservation leadership and deep place-based knowledge.
